Oct. 28, 2008 - In this edition of Everything
Phoenix hosted by Sydney Blaine, we visit historic properties that
still impact our city today. We start with the cemetery at Pioneer
and Military Memorial Park, the final resting place to notable figures
in Arizona history and folklore. We also visit one of the most extravagant
venues of its day, the Orpheum Theatre, first opened in 1929. More
recent Phoenix history brings us the story of housing for minorities
in the 60s, the McCarty Apartments, developed by Leon McCarty. The
legacy continues with new housing, McCarty on Monroe set to open in
2010.

Everything Phoenix, hosted by Deborah Sedillo Dugan, we will address
back to school safety issues for parents, teens and grade school children.
Also, get valuable information about the Internet and things you should
watch out for while doing your homework. And last see how texting

Sept. 5, 2008 - Join host Sydney
Blaine on this edition of Everything Phoenix which takes place entirely
on location in downtown Phoenix. Enjoy updates on new and ongoing
projects which are all helping to create new energy and prosperity
to our urban core. Segments highlight ASU students moving downtown,
the new Sheraton Hotel, public art, entertainment and updates at the
Phoenix Convention Center.
Aug. 15, 2008 - Join host Deborah
Sedillo Dugan as Phoenix Police Department forensic artist, Kirt Messick,
is profiled. A review of the city's "Summer Respite" program to help
the homeless with donations of water and clothing is examined in addition
to a discussion of the crime of elder abuse with staff from the Family
Advocacy Center. And, finally, find out how to best avoid fines if
you've done any home construction projects without the proper permits.
Aug. 1, 2008 - Host Sydney Blaine
takes another look at going green on Everything Phoenix with a look
inside a very cool-very green private residence and see how 3,000
school kids get a big summer treat with the Phoenix Mercury. Stay
tuned to this program to visit the award-winning Arizona Doll and
Toy Museum and get a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most dangerous
jobs in the city.
May 2, 2008 - Prom and graduation
season can be a time when kids take part in risky behavior. This half-hour
special starts with a mock car crash demo by Fire and Police, held
to warn teens about the dangers of driving impaired. The director
of SADD joins us along with a parent who lost his teenage son to a
teen drunk driver. And we ride along with police, the Targeted Enforcement
Squad, looking to bust "Party Crews", groups with gang affiliations
who lure teens to parties where weapons, alcohol and drugs are involved.
April 11, 2008 - ID Theft the fastest
growing crime in Arizona. More than 40 percent of cases nationally
actually happen here in Maricopa County. We're joined by Phoenix Police
Department for more. April is Victims Rights month and we hear how
Phoenix helps victims of domestic violence at the Family Advocacy
Center. We also visit the annual Head Start Spring Training for children
with special needs. Brewers & D-Backs play baseball games with little
ones.

Points of Pride nominees and learn how you can vote. Also, the latest
Light Rail update.
Feb. 19, 2008 - Join host Deborah
Sedillo Dugan as a review of Super Bowl prep and activity is highlighted
including a look at the Unified Security Command operations, the Media
Center at Phoenix Convention Center and a visit to community outreach
projects co-sponsored by the NFL. Also we hear about the ABC Charity
Classic, an annual spring training major league game to benefit needy
children with swim lessons.
Jan. 22, 2008 - Get an update on
downtown development with Downtown Development Office Director John
Chan. Chan discusses several exciting downtown projects including
CityScape, downtown housing and the Sheraton Hotel. Also take a walking
tour through downtown Phoenix to witness the downtown development
progress first hand.
