September 2009 - This half-hour
special, hosted by Deborah Sedillo Dugan, focuses on the city's Family
Advocacy Center, which provides services to victims of violence. We
report on how Police and Fire interface with the center. Phoenix Police
Department's Family Investigations Bureau is housed at the FAC and
we profile the Sex Crimes Unit there, along with Fire's Crisis Response
Teams. We follow the steps of a sexual assault forensic exam, speak
with a survivor of domestic abuse and learn more about the wide-ranging
services offered to victims.
May 2009 - Sydney Blaine hosts this
program, shot on-location at Civic Space Park in downtown Phoenix.
We start with an overview of the nearly three-acre park, which sits
between Central and First avenues. Paula Moore reports on the many
fun and innovative features at this new urban park. Next, Deborah
Sedillo Dugan reports on the most dominant feature of the park, the
145-foot-high public art sculpture. We also hear about restoration
of the historic building which anchors the park. And, later in the
program, a special story on creating more shade in our city.
April 2009 - On this edition of
the show, hosted by Deborah Sedillo Dugan, Everything Phoenix is "Going
Green". First up is an overview of the sustainability efforts and
programs in Phoenix. We also visit the home of our City Horticulturalist,
who built an entire eco-friendly home. A housing complex in south
Phoenix is completely refurbished and retrofitted with "green"applications
and solar panels, and we visit Fire Station 61, which is one of 10
fire stations utilizing "green" design and construction. Finally,
a visit to ASU's campus to see the latest efforts in recycling.
February 2009 - On this edition,
hosted by Sydney Blaine, we cover the Winter Respite program which
helps the homeless and feature a segment on foreclosure prevention
with housing specialists. Parking meter rates are rising in downtown
Phoenix and we cover when and where, plus a report on parking violation
fees. It's time to plan for Census 2010 and we learn why getting counted
is so important. Finally, the Phoenix Boy's Choir celebrates its 60th
anniversary.
December 2008 - On this
edition, hosted by Deborah Sedillo Dugan, Phoenix Suns help clean
up graffiti...we get the latest on film projects in Phoenix and get
a behind-the-scenes look at the popular vampire movie "Twilight."
and, one of three historic buildings from the Phoenix Indian School
property "Memorial Hall," reopens after extensive renovations.

Oct. 28, 2008 - In this edition
of Everything Phoenix hosted by Sydney Blaine, we visit historic properties
that still impact our city today. We start with the cemetery at Pioneer
and Military Memorial Park, the final resting place to notable figures
in Arizona history and folklore. We also visit one of the most extravagant
venues of its day, the Orpheum Theatre, first opened in 1929. More
recent Phoenix history brings us the story of housing for minorities
in the 60s, the McCarty Apartments, developed by Leon McCarty. The
legacy continues with new housing, McCarty on Monroe set to open in
2010.
Sept. 24, 2008 - In this
edition of Everything Phoenix, hosted by Deborah Sedillo Dugan, we
will address back to school safety issues for parents, teens and grade
school children. Also, get valuable information about the Internet
and things you should watch out for while doing your homework. And
last see how texting and driving just doesn't work!
Sept. 5, 2008 - Join host Sydney
Blaine on this edition of Everything Phoenix which takes place entirely
on location in downtown Phoenix. Enjoy updates on new and ongoing
projects which are all helping to create new energy and prosperity
to our urban core. Segments highlight ASU students moving downtown,
the new Sheraton Hotel, public art, entertainment and updates at the
Phoenix Convention Center.
Aug. 15, 2008 - Join host Deborah
Sedillo Dugan as Phoenix Police Department forensic artist, Kirt Messick,
is profiled. A review of the city's "Summer Respite" program to help
the homeless with donations of water and clothing is examined in addition
to a discussion of the crime of elder abuse with staff from the Family
Advocacy Center. And, finally, find out how to best avoid fines if
you've done any home construction projects without the proper permits.
Aug. 1, 2008 - Host Sydney Blaine
takes another look at going green on Everything Phoenix with a look
inside a very cool-very green private residence and see how 3,000
school kids get a big summer treat with the Phoenix Mercury. Stay
tuned to this program to visit the award-winning Arizona Doll and
Toy Museum and get a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most dangerous
jobs in the city.
