The Water Systems Operator performs daily monitoring and control of staffed and non-staffed water works facilities through the operation of a central computerized system, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA). The Water Services Department is seeking a Superintendent for the City of Phoenix Wastewater Collection Division.  The Water Services Superintendent for the City of Phoenix Wastewater Collection Division provides strategic and operational leadership for the City's sewer collection system of over 5,000 miles of sanitary mains, over 100,000 manhole structures, 30 lift stations and 25 odor control facilities. This role oversees daily field operations, preventative maintenance programs, emergency response, and regulatory compliance across six wastewater collection sections. The Superintendent manages a large, diverse workforce; directs budget and resource planning; ensures adherence to safety and environmental standards; and coordinates closely with internal departments, contractors, and City leadership. Through effective planning, supervision, and communication, the Superintendent ensures safe, reliable, and efficient wastewater conveyance that protects public health and supports Citywide infrastructure resilience. The Water Services Superintendent reports to the division Deputy Director who is responsible for the overall management of the operating division.

The Water Services Department is seeking an Infrastructure Records Services Administrator (Administrator).  The  Infrastructure Records Services Administrator (Administrator) serves as the Section Manager for the Infrastructure Records Services (IRS) Section, leading four specialized teams and their leads within the Development & Infrastructure Planning Division. The position oversees over 30 technical staff responsible for GIS, As-Built management, official infrastructure records, public records compliance, and customer support for internal and external stakeholders. This role ensures the accuracy, accessibility, and security of critical water and wastewater infrastructure data while advancing department initiatives, system upgrades, and operational improvements. The Administrator exercises independent judgment and decision-making authority to set Section priorities, allocate resources, approve standards and SOPs, and resolve escalations across IRS operations. Success requires strong leadership of team supervisors, governance of utility GIS and records programs (including WaterNet, GIS databases, and Utility Network migration), exceptional organizational and communication skills, and the ability to operate autonomously while delivering high-visibility services across the Water Services Department.
