(June 2010) The city's Nina Mason Pulliam Rio Salado Audubon Center, located in the heart of the Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area, recently received the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification for the environmental friendlinesss and sustainability of the facility. The center is a gateway to a lush Sonoran riparian habitat used by more than 200 species of birds and other wildlife.
