Mayor Greg Stanton and his wife, Nicole, will be hosting “Storytime with the Stantons” 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 at Juniper Library located at 1825 W. Union Hills Dr. The Stantons and library staff will be sharing books, finger plays, songs, flannel board stories and more with children birth to five years accompanied by a caregiver.
“Nicole and I are looking forward to spending this time with toddlers,” explained Mayor Stanton. “We know how important it is for parents and caregivers to support the skills that will help their children learn to read. Programs like these are fun, but also provide valuable information on how to engage very young children and it’s critical to start early.”
"Storytime with the Stantons" is scheduled for additional library locations in February and March. For more information, visit phoenixpubliclibrary.org or call 602-262-4636.
