Join Misty Hyman, Elected Officials for FitPHX Bike Ride Along 32nd Street

Fit PHX graphic for news releasesResidents are invited to join Olympic Gold Medalist Misty Hyman, Vice Mayor Bill Gates and Councilman Jim Waring for a family-friendly, bike ride along the North 32nd Street Corridor at 9 a.m. Saturday, March. 9.  The ride will begin at 10401 N. 32nd St.

This event, coordinated by the North 32nd Street Working Group, is part of the city’s FitPHX initiative and features a free bike check-up, including gear adjustments and tire checks. A bike summit will take place after the event, discussing the city’s focus on improving bike-ability for residents.   Free parking for this event is available at the Dreamy Draw Park and Ride, Shea Boulevard and the SR-51. The North 32nd Street Working Group is comprised of residents and businesses focused on revitalizing the 32nd Street Corridor, from the Phoenix Mountains Preserve to Union Hills Drive.  FitPHX is a city-wide initiative that encourages residents of Phoenix to become more active and help raise the city’s ranking on health and wellness surveys of the healthiest cities in the nation.  For more information visit phoenix.gov/fitphx.
