Tuesday, March 12 (Election Day) is the last day for registered Phoenix voters to cast a ballot for the Special Election.  All of the 27 voting centers around the city will be open on Election Day from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Phoenix voters who have not yet mailed their early ballot, can vote the ballot, place it in a signed affidavit envelope and drop it off at any voting center location.  These voters also have the option to cast a ballot in person at any voting center.  A list and map of voting center locations is available online at phoenix.gov/elections.  Also available online is an interactive application that will show voters the voting center closest to them along with the amount of voter activity at each site.  Voters also may call the Voter Hotline at 602-261-VOTE (8683) or TTY/602-534-2737.

Unofficial election results will be available online shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, at phoenix.gov, with one additional unofficial update by approximately 11 p.m.  The results also will be available on Phoenix’s cable television station, PHX11.

The 8 p.m. unofficial results will include early ballots received by Friday, March 8, and ballots cast at all voting center locations from Saturday, March 9 and Monday, March 11.

The 11 p.m. update will include votes cast at voting center locations on Election Day, Tuesday, March 12.

The unofficial results will not include provisional ballots or early ballots received on Saturday, March 9, Monday, March 11 and Tuesday, March 12.  The next tabulation update will be on Friday, March 15 and will include additional early ballots and provisional ballots.  The results are canvassed at a formal City Council meeting between eight and 15 days after the election, at which time the results are adopted as official.

For more information about the election, visit phoenix.gov/elections or call the City Clerk Department at 602-261-VOTE (8683) or TTY/602-534-2737.
