"The residents of Phoenix made the right decision today, a decision that will foster a more sustainable city of Phoenix pension system for years to come. Prop 201 is fair, proactive reform to the City's pension system that will save taxpayers nearly $600 million over the next 20 years while enabling Phoenix to remain a competitive employer. This makes sense for the city, its employees and the taxpayers. I applaud city staff for their efforts in putting together this proactive solution and the residents of Phoenix for saying “yes” to a more sustainable future for Phoenix."
