Unofficial Results and Voter Turnout Information - 8 p.m. Update

Phoenix voters let their voices be heard for the 2013 Phoenix Special Election.  As of  8 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 90,999 ballots have been tabulated.

The results are:

  • Proposition 201 – Reform of the City of Phoenix Employees’ Retirement Plan: Yes – 69,670 (79.67 percent); No – 17,774 (20.33 percent)
  • Proposition 202 – Reform of Investment Standards, Legal Status, and Funding Provisions for the City of Phoenix Employees’ Retirement Plan: Yes – 66,778 (77.39 percent); No – 19,506 (22.61 percent)
  •  Proposition 300 – Transit Security: Yes – 65,792 (77.11 percent); No – 19,526 (22.89 percent)

On the three days the city’s voting centers were open, voters cast about 2,700 ballots.  

Results from the ballots cast today at the city's 27 voting centers are expected to be available before 11 p.m. tonight.  There are not enough ballots remaining to be counted to change the results.  The next tabulation update will be on Friday, March 15, and will include additional early ballots and provisional ballots.
