HOURS OF OPERATION: Open daily (except closed on Tuesdays, May - August); one half-hour before dawn - one half-hour after dusk, including holidays, year-round. The golf range is open during normal course hours, until dark.
Palo Verde Golf Course is a 9-hole executive golf course, nestled in Central Phoenix. This challenging executive course has three par fours ranging in length from two hundred eighty-five yards to three hundred yards and six par threes. It also has a lake which comes into play on holes one, two and three, and lighted driving range (driving range currently closed evenings), offering a challenge for all golfing levels.

Lori Murray, Golf Professional. Golf Professional, Lori Murray, played college golf at Glendale Community College and United States International University. Lori began her career in golf in 1974 and has managed several courses in the Valley and California. Lori has been managing and teaching at Palo Verde since 1993. |

Jesus (Chuy) Lara, Golf Course Foreman. Chuy began his career with the City in 1985 at Encanto Golf Course. Soon after he was promoted and moved to Papago Golf Course where he worked for over 16 years, when he was promoted to a Foreman in 2002 and moved to Palo Verde. Chuy is an avid golfer and plays on the Papago Mens Club. |
Pro Shop
The Palo Verde Pro Shop, staffed by the Golf Professional, is a full-service facility, featuring apparel, shoes, clubs, rental clubs, golf bags and golf accessories for men, women and junior golfers.
Snack Shop
You can purchase canned beer, non-alcoholic beverages and a variety of snacks in the pro shop.
Night Golf
Night golf tournaments are great fundraisers and fun the for the entire family! Fairways and pins are lined with glow sticks and golfers play with a glowing golf ball. To set up a night golf tournament for your group, fill out the tournament request form or call Laura Yotter at 602-262-5088.
Golf Lessons
Golf lessons, taught by PGA and LPGA members, are provided to individuals and groups. Clinics and video lessons are also available. Lessons are scheduled individually by the instructor. Call the golf course of your choice to set up a private or group lesson.
Golf Clinics
Clinics for beginners, intermediate and advanced golfers are scheduled throughout the year. Junior clinics are offered in the summer and fall. For scheduling and rates call Laura Yotter, Golf Resource Development Coordinator at (602) 262-5088.
Youth Golf Classes
PGA professionals teach golf to area youth, ages 8 to 17, in year-round low cost classes which typically last about a month. Itty Bitty lessons are offered at Palo Verde for youth ages 5-7. To register, individuals should sign up at the golf course. Golf classes are halted in October to accommodate reseeding of the practice tees with winter grass.
