I am interested in the student worker program because I believe that it will give a student the opportunity to get real life experience working in a community arts focused space. The student will have an example of what an inclusive arts space looks like and how to operate and contribute to similar spaces. They will be in space that encourages their input and ideas, which will give them the confidence to contribute in their future workspaces.

For me this program helps me to learn new ways of engaging with those that I work with by expanding my understanding of how to operate in less hierarchal and more equal, (yet unique) collective and connective ways that value what everyone brings, including their talents and own histories and experiences.
