About this organization

The Sagrado Galleria

The Sagrado was established as South Phoenix’s first and only art gallery in 2016, as a response to the City’s lack of commitment to the South Phoenix community, arts, and culture. We formed with a mission to serve as a cultural bridge to provide tools and opportunities that empower community through art, culture, and design. In the first five years, the Sagrado has made significant progress implementing our vision to cultivate prosperous communities rooted in arts and culture while engaged in conscious development, even amidst the challenges of a global pandemic. The Sagrado became a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in 2019 and has since been awarded "Best Community Arts Space" (2019) and "Best Latino Art Gallery" (2021) of the Valley by Phoenix New Times. Through our pillar art shows, workshops, community events, and design advocacy, the Sagrado has impacted the lives of more than 5,000 community members in South Phoenix and beyond.

Our mission is to provide tools and opportunities that empower community through art, culture, and design.
