Sparking Innovation

The Office of Innovation and Venture Café Phoenix have partnered to create hackathons, known as the Innovate PHX Challenge. Hackathons are events that asks students, innovators, entrepreneurs, and residents to "hack" solutions on topics important to Phoenix. Participants are placed in teams and work together throughout the day to create their solution. Near the end of the day, teams present their ideas to an audience and panel of judges highlighting their innovative pitches. The Innovate PHX Challenge takes place twice a year with a mission to bring community innovators from all over Phoenix together to help solve some of the city's most pressing challenges. ​Affordable Housing Solutions

The City of Phoenix Office of Innovation and Venture Café Phoenix are partnering again for the third installment of the Innovate PHX Challenge! This is the one-of-a-kind event that asks participants – students, innovators, entrepreneurs, residents — to “hack” a solution on the topic of “Affordable Housing Solutions: Design, Sustainability, Innovation”. Join us at 5:30pm to watch the pitch competitions th​at were created that day during the Hackathon, as our contestants compete to win their share of $5,000 in cash prizes!​
