​Innovate PHX Series​​​​

​The City of Phoenix established the Office of Innovation in late 2021. The Office identifies partners to co-create pilot initiatives to reimagine existing City processes and services, and implement new ideas to solve pressing City issues. The InnovatePHX series highlights innovative, Smart Cities solutions happening in departments across the City.

Improve Wastewater Monitoring with Kando Pulse

October 2024​​​

The City of Phoenix Water Services Department is working on a pilot program with KandoPulse that utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) technology to monitor pollutants in the sewer system. The sensors can detect hazards, such as industrial wastes, that could potentially disrupt wastewater treatment operations. Phoenix is the second city in the U.S. to use the Kando Pulse sensors.​
