The Planning and Development Department provides oversight for the Open Land Use Application process to assist in managing and reducing potential hazards such as fire, flooding, blight, dust control, storm water issues and additional health risks.
Open Land Uses include such uses as:
• Mulching operations
• Asphalt shingles processing
• Tire storage
• Pallet storage and
• Landfill activities
• Any additional outdoor use or activity that can be negatively impact the environmental quality surrounding the site
Permits and Licenses: Permits and Licenses are required prior to the start of an Open Land Use, including storage of materials. No improvements or activities should occur on the property until all required plans have been approved and permits purchased as well as all relevant licenses have been obtained.
