Complete Streets is Here
The city of Phoenix Street Transportation Department, in collaboration with a group of community stakeholders, has developed a draft complete streets policy for possible adoption by the Phoenix City Council.
As part of the process of developing a complete streets policy, the Street Transportation Department is soliciting feedback on all aspects the policy as drafted. If adopted by the City Council, the policy will guide future construction of all street-related projects including roadways and sidewalks, and will support the development of related citywide design standards.
The draft complete streets policy is available via the link below as a PDF document. If you would like to provide feedback on the policy, e-mail comments to Matthew Heil at matthew.heil@phoenix.gov or fill out the Complete Streets survey. Interested individuals and community groups can request presentations on the draft policy. If you would like to schedule a presentation, please e-mail matthew.heil@phoenix.gov, or call 602-534-1597.
Comments will be accepted through the fall with eventual presentation of a summary of feedback to the Phoenix City Council. A schedule of outreach events and related activities will be posted here as they become available.
