Ed Dwight's monument to George Washington Carver greets visitors outside the George Washington Carver Museum in downtown Phoenix. He depicted the renowned African-American scientist, who taught at Tuskeegee Institute, inspecting a cluster of peanuts, for which he invented more than 300 products.​
