In addition to two sculptural seating benches, this project features thirty bronze plaques depicting Sonoran Desert flora and fauna on 15 piers along the sidewalk. The plaques are set at an angle to make it easy to make chalk rubbings of the plant and animal relief images. The artist included a saguaro in the park as one of the images. Landscaped berms rise to the meet the back of the sculptural seating. Three palo verde trees were planted nearby to shade the seating. From one vantage point, the bench contours line up with Black Mountain and other mountains on the northern horizon.
