Peters and Osborn's two bronze relief panels, depict firefighters in the field, combating an urban fire, and at a station open house, interacting with a group of children.  To prepare for making the artwork, the artists spent time on the job with firefighters.  Their meticulous documentation of what they witnessed ensured that the fine details of uniforms, fire trucks and equipment were rendered as accurately as possible in the bronze panels.
