Chenoweth and Solomon worked with children at three local elementary schools to create six chairs reflecting their diverse backgrounds. Many of the students were recent immigrants to the United States, so the artists had them draw animals representing their countries of origin. They used the images to create the chairs' mosaic tiles, combining them with images of animals from their new Arizona home. The chairs are arranged in a semicircle in a recessed, paved area along the side yard of the fire station.  The seating area also features a low seat wall, trees and landscaping. The seating area and landscaping were built by Banicki Construction. ​
