Important Reminders and Announcements

Retirement Timing​​

Effective January 1, 2016 employees wishing to retire are required to file their Application for Retirement with COPERS 14 or 30 calendar days prior to the date of retirement.  

  • ​Rule of 80 or 87 - 14 calendar days

  • Age 60 w/10 years - 30 calendar days

  • Age 62 w/5 years - 30 calendar days

COPERS' Retiree Benefit Payments

COPERS' retiree benefit payments for December 2024 will be processed on January 1, 2025.  Transaction processing schedules ar​e determined by each financial institution and will vary.  For direct deposit transactions, please check with your financial institution for their processing schedule for transactions received on a non-business day. ​
