The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program provides free tax preparation services to low-to-moderate-income individuals and families.
The City of Phoenix partners with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and other community organizations to support
VITA sites within the Phoenix area.
Our goal is to increase public awareness of the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and other available tax credits,
provide free tax preparation services, and promote financial literacy.
The City of Phoenix has offered VITA services for over 20 years and has returned over $100 million in federal refunds to Phoenix residents.
This represents dollars that are reinvested into the community where we live and work!
