Lost Lake Festival: October 20-22, 2017: Event Impact

Lost Lake Festival is a three-day celebration of music, culinary, games, and art. The event will be held at Steele Indian School Park. The festival features more than 40 national and local musical acts on multiple stages. The festival will also highlight the Valley’s vibrant food and drink scene with offerings from local restaurants. There will be games, a marketplace, and the Lost Playgrounda unique twist on games and sports.

Transportation & Parking

There is NO EVENT PARKING at Steele Indian School Park or in the neighborhood areas surrounding the Festival. Parking enforcement personnel will be monitoring for illegal parking. This includes blocking hydrants, driveways and sidewalks, or parking within 20 feet of a crosswalk, intersection, or stop sign. During festival event days, please contact Festival Community Hotline at 602-288-9589 or by email: communityrelations@lostlakefestival.com to report illegal parking in neighborhoods surrounding the park.

Festival attendees have been encouraged to park their cars for free at Valley Metro Light Rail Park-N-Ride locations and ride for free — the festival ticket serves as valid fare on light rail. There are two Valley Metro Rail stations that stop nearby the festival entrances — Indian School/Central Ave. and Campbell/Central Ave. During event egress, all passengers traveling north/west should use Campbell platform and all passengers traveling south/east should use Indian School platform. Bus Route Route 0 (Central) will be detoured around event-related Street Closures (PDF) via Seventh Street.

Steele Indian School Park Restrictions & Closures

Starting Wednesday, Oct. 11 through Sunday, Oct. 15, there will be limited public access to park amenities. Beginning Monday, Oct. 16 – Wednesday, Oct. 25, the entire park will be closed to the public and will reopen on Thursday, Oct. 26, except the Temporary Dog Park location. ADA Accessible Parking

All cars with Temporary Disability/Handicap Placard will be allowed to access the parking lot off of 3rd Street (Herrera Way) and Indian School Road to drop off and pick up attendees. There will also be a very limited amount of ADA parking available at this location on a first-come, first-served basis. Please reach out to info@lostlakefestival.com with any specific questions on accessibility.

See Something, Say Something

Here are a few safety reminders to keep in mind at all times, at any event.

Reporting unusual activity:

  • Unattended backpacks or bags left in a public space
  • Someone trying to break into a restricted area
  • When someone is purchasing, storing or stealing explosives, weapons or ammunition
  • When someone is attempting to gain specific information about a place, person, security plan or operation

Information to provide:

  • What you saw
  • When and where
  • Who you saw and what they looked like
  • What they were driving (license plate, make, model)
  • Where they may have gone
  • Your contact information (optional)
