On Wednesday, October 9, early ballots will be mailed to voters on the Active Early Voting List (AEVL) for the upcoming City of Phoenix Mayor and Council Election and Special Vacancy Election.
In this election, eligible registered Phoenix voters will decide on electing a Mayor for a regular four-year term that begins on April 21, 2025 and on three ballot measures. Voters in Council Districts 1, 3, 5, and 7 will also decide on electing Council Members for a regular four-year term beginning April 21, 2025. Additionally, voters in Council District 7 will also elect a Council Member to fill the remainder of the current District 7 term which ends April 21, 2025.
Vote by Mail
Voters on the AEVL will automatically receive an early ballot by mail unless they submitted a request not to receive a ballot by mail. Early ballots for November 5, 2024, Election will be mailed by the Maricopa County Elections Department.
Voters not on the AEVL who wish to receive an early ballot by mail may submit a request online for an early ballot to the Maricopa County Elections Department at

602-506-1511. Requests for an early ballot by mail must be received by the Maricopa County Elections Department no later than 5 PM on Friday, October 25, 2024.

In-Person Voting & Ballot Dop Boxes
Individuals who wish to vote in person rather than by mail can visit any voting location designated by Maricopa County. Individuals who wish to drop off their early ballot in a drop box can do so at any in person voting location or designated drop box location. Voting and drop box locations will be available beginning 27 days before the election from Wednesday, October 9, 2024, through Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Hours of operation may vary by location. On Election Day, Tuesday, November 5, 2024, voting and drop box sites will be open to voters from 6 AM to 7 PM. Locations are designated throughout the county and can be found by visiting
