​The city of Phoenix Youth and Education Office is now accepting applications for the 2018 Outstanding Young Man/Young Woman of the Year awards. The program recognizes the amazing achievements of young people, enhances the perception of youth and raises awareness of their positive contributions.
This program is open to all high school students currently enrolled in Phoenix or who live within Phoenix's city limits. One young man and young woman will be selected as winners from each city council district and receive a $500 award. Also, each district-level winner will be eligible for an additional $1,500 award if selected as the citywide winners.
The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 19. Learn about the requirements to apply at phoenix.gov/education.
