Nominations are currently being accepted for the Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Awards Breakfast, which recognizes the accomplishments of people who have made an impact on the quality of life and contributed significantly to creating a compassionate and socially just community.
Awards include the MLK Jr. Living the Dream Award, Calvin C. Goode Lifetime Achievement and the AZ MLK Corporate Awards:
The Living the Dream Award recognizes individuals who embody the ideas of Dr. King through their continued personal commitment to human relations and social justice.
The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes exceptional individuals who have made Phoenix a better place to live through a lifelong dedication to promoting social and economic justice, defending civil rights, and enhancing the dignity of all people.
The AZ MLK Corporate Award recognizes a business or organization that has demonstrated exceptional achievement and commitment to promoting and practicing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) for Phoenix residents.
The selected honorees will be celebrated at the 39th Annual Arizona Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Awards Breakfast, Friday, January 17, 2025.
The deadline to submit a nomination form online is 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27.
