If you own a home or rental unit in Phoenix and are looking for consistent, reliable income, join the City of Phoenix Housing Department for an Owner Open House to learn about the benefits of the City’s Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program.

“We want property owners to be well informed of the benefits of working with the Housing Choice Voucher program,” said Elenia Sotelo, a Housing Manager in the Phoenix Housing Department. “ By engaging with the voucher program and renting to a tenant with a voucher, you not only provide affordable housing to those in need but also guarantee a steady rental income for yourself .”

WHEN: Wednesday, March 27, 2024. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

WHERE: Memorial Hall at Steele Indian School Park, 300 E. Indian School Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85012

WHO: Current and prospective landlords interested in learning more about the HCV program.

WHY: To create new connections and continue strengthening partnerships between Phoenix landlords and the HCV program.

Please RSVP: Email  OpenHouseRSVP@quadel.com

At the open house, landlords will have the chance to learn about Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) contracts, inspections, leasing, moves, the $2,000 sign-on bonus for landlords who accept new HAP contracts, and more. Get your voucher questions answered in a meet-and-greet with staff from Housing, Human Services, Neighborhood Services, Equal Opportunity, and more.

This year there are two optional breakout sessions:

  • 10:30 a.m. – Housing Quality Standards – Most Common Fails (HQS inspections)

  • 11:30 a.m. – HAP Contracts – What It Means To You

Some of the program benefits for landlords include:

  • Payment consistency- landlords will receive monthly subsidy checks from the City.

  • Renter stability- voucher holders are able to stay in their homes longer, reducing turnover.

  • Access to housing specialists who can guide landlords through the process.

Attendees will also be able to meet Arizona Quadel’s Landlord Liaison.   Computers will be available to access files and information. Light refreshments will be served.
