City Council will consider designating the Arizona Sash, Door and Glass Company Warehouse on the Phoenix Historic Property Register on February 5th. The building at 850 W. Lincoln Street was built in 1927. It features brick construction and a gabled roof that is supported by wood trusses. Sam Means started Hello Merch in 2008 as an online store and touring merchandise operation, primarily for musicians. The company has since branched out to include its own apparel lines and e-commerce, order fulfillment and screen printing not only for artists, but tech and retail establishments worldwide.
The Council will also consider a $300,000 Warehouse/Threatened Buildings grant to assist in the rehabilitation of the warehouse. Sam plans grow the business in this warehouse and hopes to spur further investment west of 7th Avenue outside the Downtown Core.
