On July 12, 2023, Officer Morgan Bullis returned to Patrol in South Mountain Precinct after months of recovery from being shot in the line of duty in late March.
While Officer Bullis was responding to a call on March 24, 2023, the suspect started shooting at her patrol vehicle. Officer Bullis was shot once in the hip and her face was struck by bullet fragments.
“Today I am excited because it is a step in the right direction," shared Officer Bullis. “It was an injury that I could not control, someone else controlled for me so coming back was a lot of work and I am happy to be here."
