The City of Phoenix's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program offers free tax preparation assistance. Certified VITA volunteers team up with the IRS and other community partners to support VITA sites, and prepare basic tax returns. During the 2017-18 tax season, 4233 households had their taxes prepared at city of Phoenix VITA sites and received over $6.2 million in tax refunds, dollars that go back into the community where we live and work!
