About this Project
Currently, this stretch of 43rd Avenue has a single-lane in each direction and a center two-way left-turn lane. To relieve congestion, improve traffic flow and improve access to existing properties, the City of Phoenix will be improving 43rd Avenue from Anthem Way to Circle Mountain Road.
To help improve traffic movement and access to existing subdivisions, the Post Office, and a Montessori School in this corridor, the following improvements will be made:
Roadway widening to accommodate two travel lanes in each direction - Construction completed April 2022
Addition of dedicated left-turn lanes at key locations - Completed April 2022
Signal improvements at Anthem Way - are now under construction.
Center two-way, left-turn lane will be maintained - Complete
