As part of the Street Transportation Department’s core mission, we strive to improve the City’s roadways to create a safe and efficient transportation network.

Join the Street Transportation Department for an Open House discussion on proposed improvements to calm traffic and improve safety by adjusting the roadway striping along Hearn Road from 7th Street to Pointe Golf Club Drive. There will be no formal presentation – residents are welcome to stop by any time between 5:30 and 7 p.m. to learn more about the project.

The proposed improvements will narrow the width of the travel lanes by adding paint markings that create a buffer between the street and sidewalk and to delineate parking lanes. The proposed changes will modify on-street parking as follows:
• 7th Street to 8th Street: Parking permitted on the north side of the street only
• 9th Street to 12th Street: Parking permitted on the south side of the street only
• 12th Street to Pointe Golf Club Drive: No parking permitted on either side of the street
