Description

The project will install a new storm drain and catch basins along Palm Lane between 28th Place and 32nd Street.  The design and construction of the project is being done in cooperation with the Flood Control District of Maricopa County.

Project Highlights

  • Install approximately 2,800 feet of new storm drain
  • Install new catch basins
  • Replace existing curb, gutter and sidewalks, as well as driveways in some locations
  • Relocate sections of water, sewer, and gas lines to accommodate the new drainage system

Goal of the Project

  • To reduce flood hazards to neighborhood properties that have experienced historic flooding.

Project Status

Construction Start - September 2021
Construction is substantially complete

Virtual Open House

The City of Phoenix St​reet Transportation Department hosted a virtual open house on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 to inform the public about the installation of the storm drain and catch basins between 28th Place and 32nd Street on Palm Lane. ​​
