Lower Buckeye Rd, 27th to 19th Avenues

Description

This major street project makes improvements to Lower Buckeye Road, from 27th Avenue to 19th Avenue, including new pavement, replacement of existing curb, gutter, sidewalks (primarily on the north side of the road), reconstruction of existing concrete driveways to meet ADA requirements and upgrades to traffic signals at 27th and 22nd Avenues. The project also includes the addition of new street lights along this stretch of the road. New catch basins and laterals will be added to improve existing drainage conditions. Along Lower Buckeye Road, there are a total of five railroad spurs and two of them have been approved for removal.

  • Final plans, specification, and engineering estimates are anticipated for completion in spring 2024
  • Construction anticipated to begin early 2027
