Valley Watch is hosted by the Phoenix Fire Department’s Deputy Communications Director, Ali Pardi. Dedicated to both proactive and reactive messaging, Ali has a background in broadcast journalism. Prior to joining the Phoenix Fire Department, she was formerly known as Ali Vetnar from KTAR News 92.3 FM.
Ali’s passion for storytelling led her into the community, meeting people face to face to tell their stories. She is passionate about stories involving first responders and public safety. In 2019, Ali won an Associated Press award for Best Enterprise Reporting, following her investigative reporting on occupational cancer in the fire service.
Although she now works for Phoenix Fire, Ali returns to KTAR News regularly to host Valley Watch and continue to share news from Phoenix Fire and tell stories of the amazing men and women who serve the public 24/7, 365 days.
