The City of Phoenix conducts a variety of stormwater-related public awareness activities, including attending public events and festivals, distributing flyers, an activity book for school children, and a biannual newsletter, and presenting to industry groups. Stormwater Awareness week is held the 4th week of January, and includes a public workshop on the stormwater management program and best management practices. ​​

The City of Phoenix is a member of the Stormwater Outreach for Region Municipalities (STORM) organization. STORM coordinates stormwater outreach activities throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area, including radio advertisements, social media, and professional conferences.
