As a public health precaution due to COVID-19 (coronavirus), the City of Phoenix is closing certain offices to the public. Our goal is to continue providing excellent service to you while protecting against the spread of illness. Critical business can be done by appointment only.​

Utility Coordination issues licenses or franchises to telecommunications corporations and gas providers who use the public rights-of-way to provide telecommunications services and engage in the business of operating and maintaining gas pipelines respectively.  The information on this page is intended only to be a general guide to the gas pipeline and telecommunications license application process, new and renewal licenses, and to point out some of the important issues and requirements that are specified in greater detail in the City Code, Arizona Revised Statutes and federal law related to telecommunications licensing and regulation.
