Gang Enforcement

​Mission Statement

The purpose of the Gang Enforcement Unit is to protect the public from street gang violence and to provide the Police Department with investigative, enforcement and intelligence support in combating street gang activity.

Organization

The Gang Enforcement Unit is comprised of one Lieutenant, six Sergeants who supervise the investigative/enforcement squads, one Secretary, and one Police Assistant.

Duties

This support meets a two prong Department need.  First, to carry out its mission to protect the public and suppress criminal activity and secondly, to accurately identify and regulate members of known street gangs believed to be involved in criminal activity.
