Healthy Adaptive Cooking Class
Welcome to this unique culinary experience open to individuals with disabilites! Get ready to discover delicous recipes, adaptable cooking techniques, and a supportive community that celebrates the joy of cooking for all! Let's embark on a flavorful adventure that nourishes both body and spirit!
- Day/Time: Mondays, 5:00PM-6:30PM
- Where: Cesar Chavez Community Center, 7858 S 35th Ave
- Cost: $10.00/class
Special Olympics Bowling
Join the City of Phoenix Special Olympics bowling team! Participants will learn bowling techniques alongside their peers. *A current Special Olympics physical is required to participate.*
- When: Starts August 20, 2024!
- Day/Time: Every Tuesday, 4:00PM - 5:30PM until October 22, 2024.
- Where: AMF Desert Hills Lane, 2959 E Bell Road.

Special Olympics Golf
Join the City of Phoenix Special Olympics Golf team! Participants will practice skills and all the fundamentals of golf. *A current Special Olympics physical is required to participate.*
- When: September 18 - Decemeber 7, 2024
- Day/Time: Every Wednesday, 5:00PM-6:30PM
- Where: Encanto Golf Couse, 2745 N. 15th Avenue

Telephone Pioneers Park
The Parks and Recreation Department manages Telephone Pioneers of America Park, the first barrier free park in the nation. This facility was built through community donations under the leadership of the volunteer organization, Telephone Pioneers of America.
The park features two beep baseball fields, a therapeutic heated pool, a wheelchair-accessible playground, an 18-station exercise course, racquetball, volleyball, tennis, basketball and shuffleboard. Ramadas, grills and picnic facilities also are available. A state of the art "all children" accessible playground was completed in January 2001.
