Phoenix Water Services provides safe, reliable water to over 1.7 million residents. Here’s how to get your service started:
Start Water Service
A minimum of three business days is required to process all service requests. Weekends and city holidays are excluded.
- Visit the Phoenix Water Services Customer Portal to submit your request.
- Attach the required PDF documents based on your status:
- Tenants: Provide a completed lease agreement (minimum six-month lease) with the landlord's name and address. Month-to-month leases are not accepted.
- Owners: Submit proof of ownership, such as a recorded or notarized deed, settlement statement, or a PDF from the Maricopa County Assessor.
- Agents: Provide proof of agency.
- Activation fees and deposits may apply. Deposit amounts vary by property type and are outlined in the Terms and Conditions.
- If your property has multiple meters, include this information in the comments section of your request.
Transfer Water Service
Relocating within Phoenix? Use the Customer Service Portal to transfer your existing account to your new address.
Stop Water Service
Moving out of Phoenix? Submit a request to stop your service via the same Customer Service Portal at least three business days before your move-out date.
Phoenix Public Works provides dependable trash and recycling services to all residents.
Set Up Trash and Recycling
