Heritage and Historic Sites
S'edav Va'aki Museum
This National Historic Landmark and museum includes a 1,500-year-old ruin of a Hohokam village. Walk the site, view exhibits, and attend festivals and hands-on activities for visitors of all ages.
Heritage Square and Science Park
Step back into the 19th century by visiting this historic square and the Rosson House Museum, a fully restored 1895 Queen Anne Victorian house. The square also hosts a STEM program for teens.
Pioneer and Military Memorial Park
Visit the historic cemeteries along with Smurthwaite House, one of the few surviving Phoenix buildings from the 1800s. Smurthwaite House is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Tovrea Castle at Carraro Heights
Set off by a 44-acre desert and cactus in the middle of downtown Phoenix, this castle was built in the late 1920s and has intrigued visitors ever since.
