Holiday Collection Schedule

Changes in collection day only occurs on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. During the rest of the holidays, Public Works staff will be working to collect your trash and recycling as regularly scheduled.
Holidays with NO Change in Collection Day
As a reminder, Public Works staff will be working to collect trash and recycling as regularly scheduled for the following holidays (no change in collection day), but city transfer stations will be closed to the public:
- Martin Luther King Day
- Presidents Day
- Cesar Chavez Day
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Indigenous Peoples' Day
- Veterans Day
Holidays with a Change in Collection Day
Solid waste collections will not be provided on Thanksgiving Day (November 27, 2025). For customers with collection normally scheduled on Thursday, trash and recycling will be collected on Friday, November 28. Friday collection that week will happen on Saturday, November 29.
Solid waste collections will not be provided on Christmas Day (Thursday, December 25, 2025). Solid waste collections will be pushed back by one day, starting with Thursday's collections being provided on Friday, December 26 and ending with Friday’s collections being provided on Saturday, December 27.
Solid waste collections will not be provided on New Year’s Day (Thursday, January 1, 2026). Solid waste collections will be pushed back by one day, starting with Thursday's collections being provided on Friday, January 2 and ending with Friday’s collections being provided on Saturday, January 3.
