    Structured Sober Living Homes Licenses

    ​STATE LICENSING PROGRAM FOR SOBER LIVING HOMES


    In 2018, legislation was passed that imposed new statewide licensing requirements for sober living homes. The Department of Health Services finalized rules relating to the licensure of sober living homes, and the rules became effective as of July 1, 2019.

    As a result, all City-issued Structured Sober Living Home and Structured Sober Living Home Manager licenses will expire on September 30, 2019, and all sober living homes in Arizona must submit a separate license application to the Arizona Department of Health Services. It is advised that all interested parties contact the Arizona Department of Health Services for additional information on new requirements for sober living homes and managers.
