Upgrade the Application on your phone

  • If you have the Red RSA App on your phone (personal or City owned and/or supported), you must upgrade to the current SecurID Application. This can be done after you are finished with the instructions above.

  • Process == Go to either the Google App Store or the Apple App Store (Depending on your phone) and download the NEW app as seen above.
  • On installation, RSA Authenticator V4.2 will detect if RSA Authenticate app is already installed and will propose the user to migrate the credentials present in RSA Authenticate App, as shown below.

  • RSA Authenticate app credentials will be automatically migrated to the RSA Authenticator app.
  • RSA Authenticate app registration will be replaced automatically by RSA Authenticator app registration on the user profile.
  • User can then safely use RSA Authenticator app for all authentication tasks previously covered by the RSA Authenticate app.
  • All Pushed Notifications that were previously received by the RSA Authenticate app on this device will now be received by the RSA Authenticator app.
  • The above process will not remove RSA Authenticate app from the device. As it is no longer registered on the user profile on My Page, it can then be safely removed manually from the device.
  • When finished, delete the old red app from your phone.
