ESG Reporting (which stands for “Environmental, Social, and Governance Reporting") is a standard industry practice of providing key performance indicators for rating agencies such as S&P and Moody's that evaluate companies and cities for financial and climate risk. The City of Phoenix currently has a AAA credit rating that results in a low cost of borrowing for bond issuance—saving the City millions of dollars in interest costs.
