Phoenix Afterschool Center (PAC)
The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department's Phoenix Afterschool Center (PAC) is a fun, supportive and educational place for youth ages 6 to 13 to spend critical afterschool hours.
Phoenix Afterschool Center (PAC) has returned for the 2024-25 school year.
Registration opens Thursday, July 18, at 6:30 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis and a waitlist is available.
What Does PAC Do?
Homework Help
On a daily basis, youth will have a dedicated time to complete homework assignments with assistance from PAC staff.
Educational Enrichment
- Book Blast – Books are provided for all levels of readers to enjoy once homework is finished.
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) – Twice a month, participants will engage in fun, interesting and hands-on STEM projects.
Guest Presenters
Enrichment presentations are given by a variety of kid-friendly partners.
Physical Fitness
Organized games, sports and activities designed to promote health and wellness. Additionally, weekly nutrition workshops are provided to educate about the importance of healthy eating.
Socialize
Supervised free time where youth can play, socialize and develop important interaction skills.
Arts and Creativity
Youth will have the opportunity to expand their creative abilities through a variety projects.
