The task force was approved by then City Manager David Cavazos, chaired by then Assistant City Manager Ed Zuercher and Assistant Police Chief Jeri Williams, and facilitated by Lionel Lyons, Director of the City’s Equal Opportunity Department.
A representative of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Community Relations Services, Ron Wakabayashi, observed all task force sessions and offered advice and input from his experiences with the DOJ.
