Sexual Assault Awareness
Awareness Campaign
In 2019, the City of Phoenix launched a Sexual Violence Awareness campaign called "Let's Talk Teal." In addition to activities that directly impact survivors of sexual violence, the initiative emphasizes having important conversations to prevent and end sexual violence.
The City of Phoenix's partnership with the Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence and the Sexual Assault Kit Initiative administered by the Bureau of Justice Assistance seeks to raise public awareness about Sexual Violence and to educate communities on how to prevent it.

What were you wearing?
What were you wearing? It is a common question that victims of sexual assault are asked. Those kinds of questions and statements put blame on the victim. The video and the exhibit featured take aim at victim shaming and blaming with survivor stories and a representation of what they were wearing. The video contains sexually explicit and violent content. Viewer discretion is advised.
