Process to File a Barking Dog Criminal Charge
Talk to your neighbor.
Try mediation.
Document dates and times when dog(s) are barking.
Download petition information form
Obtain signatures of at least 3 parties (no more than 2 of the parties may reside at the same residence).
Gather evidence such as videotapes, audio tapes, or written log of barking incidents.
Mail petition, information form, and any evidence to the City Prosecutor's Office.
Keep a copy of petition.
Once approved, appear before a judge to provide a factual bases for the complaint.
Receive written information regarding case status.
Appear and testify at trial.
