    Phoenix Public Library is a system of 16 branch libraries, Burton Barr Central Library and a Bookmobile.

    Whether you're looking for a new job, pursuing a college degree, or need help diving into a new book, Phoenix Public Library has all the free tools to get you started. With a collection of nearly 2 million books, DVDs, CDs, and a wide variety of digital resources, plus thousands of entertaining and enriching programs for all ages, the library is your key to exploring the world — for school, work, or fun. ​

    Erin MacFarlane has served as library services director since July 29, 2024. She brings 26 years of experience in education and libraries to the team.
