The Historic Preservation Office has curated a collection of interactive tools to provide virtual and up-close experiences with historic resources.

The Story of Phoenix: Historic Preservation Story Maps and Videos
The Historic Preservation Office commissioned inventories of ethnic heritage properties within the City of Phoenix. The results of those surveys have been published and are also available on our website. HPO built upon the survey information to create tools engaging with the public in an interactive way as well as including properties that have since become eligible. The story maps evolve with new additions, so be sure to check back for updates!
Tour Phoenix's Asian American Heritage
The story map allows for a virtual tour of Phoenix's rich Asian American heritage from anywhere at any time. Inventoried in 2007, vide the properties and people that influenced the development and history of the city. The video tells the story of the Asian Heritage in Phoenix through historic properties, some which are still standing today.

Completed in 2004, the African American Historic Property survey documented many importance places to Phoenix and its African American heritage. Tour Phoenix's Hispanic Heritage
The influence of Hispanic heritage in Arizona dates back several centuries. The area that includes present-day Arizona existed as the northern frontier of New Spain and later Mexico, until the end of the Mexican-American War in 1848. The Hispanic Property Survey was completed in 2006. This video tells the story of Hispanic Heritage in Phoenix through historic properties, some of which are still standing today.
